For the indoor unit, ensure that the installer can reach the wall area, and the surrounding area is clear of clutter, or any valuables that could break easily. For the outdoor unit, ensure the area is cleared away and there are no obstacles.

Yes, from the freeholder of the building or land. Having air conditioning installed requires units being fitted to your indoor and outdoor walls, which requires permission from the freeholder. We do not check this at the point of purchase, so it is your responsibility to ensure you have permission before your installation.
