Boiler servicing is always completed to a high standard. When it comes to servicing, it is important to consider it as proactive maintenance, and certainly not a tick box exercise.
For customers with chemically inhibited systems we comply with BS7593:2019 by testing inhibitor levels annually. We also carry test kits for more in depth analysis of water quality, this includes PH, electrical conductivity and hardess. From this we can provide a recommended plan for remedial work that will get the water quality to where it should be, and maintained that way to ensure the boiler and heating system continues to work and work efficiently.

Boiler service checklist
This is what a typical boiler service checklist includes:
- Visually inspect the location of the appliance and stability
- Visually inspect the appliance for any signs of damage i.e corrosion
- Visually check flue
- Visually inspect for signs of spillage (open flued appliances)
- Visually inspect condensate drainage (condensing boilers)
- Visually inspect appliance internals i.e. case seals
- Visually inspect appliance electrics
- Visually inspect ventilation
- Clean the condensing trap if applicable
- Strip and clean appliance (open flued only)
- Test the operation of flame sensing device
- Carry out appliance gas rate and/or burner pressure
- Carry out emissions checks where required
- Test system inhibitor levels
- Timer and controls are left as request by the homeowner
- Leave paperwork onsite once finished
- Advise on any system upgrades if required

If any of the above tests fail, further investigation maybe required and could involve additional parts and labour.
