For customers with chemically inhibited systems we comply with BS7593:2019 by testing inhibitor levels annually. We also carry test kits for more in depth analysis of water quality, this includes PH, electrical conductivity and hardess. From this we can provide a recommended plan for remedial work that will get the water quality to where it should be, and maintained that way to ensure the heating system continues to work and work efficiently.

Air source heat pump service checklist
This is what a typical Air Source Heat Pump service checklist includes:
- Visual condition of the heat pump
- Check condensate opening is clear
- Check pipe insulation condition
- Visually check for refrigerant leaks
- Power off the unit and check/clean fan blades
- Check and clean the evaporator
- Inspect external pipework condition
- Check heat pump controller functionality and parameters
- Check system pressure and top if required
- Check glycol levels
- Check condition of electrical cables
- Check heating and hot water controls
- Check for correct operation of motorised valves
- Check and clean system filter
- Check pressure release valve
- Carry out unvented cylinder vessel check (only if carrying out a service on the cylinder)
- Check and test heating and hot water thermostats under normal operating conditions
- Check legionella programme is active (if required)
- Check hot water priority is operational
- Please note:
If any of the above tests fail, further investigation maybe required and could involve additional parts and labour.
For example, some manufacturers recommend recommend Glycol to be set to a minimum temperature.
